Warriors Field Guide: Secrets of the Clans (Warriors)
This is a very informative guide to all the clans. If you have never read any of this series it will help a lot to be familiar with the different clans and their beginnings.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Warriors
Well, this book is titled secrets of the Clans, but there really aren't many secrets shared. I mean, there are some quiet stuff like cat's point of view on things, but they aren't secrets. There are a few typos, one including Scourge being listed a Blood when he killed Tigerstar. It is long, but some stuff in it I just plain don't like. When it advertised and said, "Full colour pictures!", I did not know it just meant the warrior books printed out with no words or smaller picture on it. And there is a lot of stuff we already know- maps and stories, for example. There are some things that I feel Erin Hunter just threw in there to make it thicker, stuff that really is not a secret thing. The stuff in it that I do like, however, are the parts where they talk about cats of the clans. Like how it gives details about the cats before we met Rusty as he mouse hunted- Featherwhisker was Spottedleaf's mentor, for example. It has a few pictures of cats, like Tallstar and Crookedstar. They are small and ink, though. I just wonder- exactly how long have the Clans been running? I thought it must have been for many years, yet the book says that the very first leader, Thunderstar, had a deputy named Owleyes who became Owlstar. Owlstar had a deputy who became Sunstar, and Sunstar's deputy was Bluestar. So it really can't have been going on for at least a hundred years, which is what I thought. Anyways, the beginning of the Clans part was neat, and the map that is from the forest to the lake is neat as well.
You should really just go to the library to get this book, not buy it. Though not fantastic, it's not horrible, either.
Have fun,
Moonwhisker

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - A "mixed" review
I purchased this for my 8 yr old son who is really into the Warriors books. This is what he had to say about it:

"The Secrets of the Clans tells a lot about the Clans. You get a tour of each of the Clans' homes and territories. The book tells about the secrets and histories of the Clans. I like this book because it's really exciting and I've read it over and over again."

So on that note, I guess we would strongly recommend it!

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Field Guides are Good
This Field Guide, telling Secrets of the Clans gives some interesting excerpts from different cats of both the past and nearer to the present time in the books. There are also interesting little facts, such as Bluestar had a sister, and things like that, as well as past history of the Clans. Other than that, everything else is either just more info or a review to freshen up memories of past books, and that is fairly nice.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Warrior Novels Review
