this is a good book but it was sad and kinda gross because there is a ot of wars and killing in this book that mad it sad and gross one of the main characters is sound of running feet and he was brave, also there was swan necklase and at the end he died.

This book is about a girl that always said that she was brave. People said u'r a girl. She was asked to mary but she didn't want to. The blue coats took Joseph to lead to there escape. Then the blue coats retreated fro the war but so many people died. She went rnning as fast as her feet could take her and came across a person that talked to her. There she was fed but then kept her as there persenoir. She was amazed that charging hawk was going to be her husband. When she had the chance she ran and ran. She got away but she was close to being got by charging hawk.

This was a really good book but also sad. I didnt care for all of the wars and killing they had in it but the author might have put this kind of book to show how it was back then. Other than the killing and wars it was a very good book. It also had good descriptions! I would definetly reffer this book to anyone!!

This book is an ok book. I did not find it very detailed. I would suggest to read this book if you're o.k. with lots of people dying and being scalped etc...It wasn't the best book I have read. It only lightly touches on the big details and gives a very boring afterward. It is easy to read, though and could be a useful reference to how cruel people have been to the poor Indians. If you want a book filled with excitement, this won't fill the bill.

I think that this book was suspenseful because when a chapter ended it always made you wonder what was going to happen next. I think that kids are age would enjoy reading it because they can relate to everything that is happening in the book, for example people can relate to the lose of a loved one which the girl in the story went through. This book was a page turner because when you finished a chapter and you put the book down you were thinking about what was going to happen subsequent so you just kept reading and reading.
