If one is interested in the Commedia Dell Arte, buy this book. It includes a history, a disscusion of performance method, and a chapter for each of the basic stock characters and their family. Ducharte includes a collection of engravings detailing commedia work. A must. The only thing it lacks is a detailed description of traditional Lazzi.
