From the supplier: Special education programs for gifted children can be evaluated through early childhood and gifted education perspectives. Evaluation of the Oakwood Laboratory School showed different results from each perspective. The early childhood evaluator's recommendations included encouraging teachers to use a whole language approach and to create a curriculum offering mathematical problems that imitate realistic situations. Recommendations from the gifted education evaluator included eliminating worksheets that are limited to knowledge and recall, and infusing content into the curriculum.
