Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Suddenly, Seymour
There are lots of good musicals out there, but the best one is the one and only ''Little Shop of Horrors.''The plot summary:In the gloomy and heartless Skid Row, a nerdy florist clerk named Seymour(Rick Moranis),discoveres a new breed of plant life which he names Audrey II(Voiced by Levi Stubbs).Seymour names Audrey II after his secret love, Audrey(Ellen Greene).But, Audrey is dating the sadistic, creppy dentist, Orin Scrivello(Sorry, D.D.S.),(Steve Martin).Now, Audrey II brings fame and fortune to the flower shop, which makes Seymour's boss, the cantankerous, groucy old Mr.Musnik(Vincent Gardenia)happy.But, soon enough, Seymour discovers that Audrey II can talk, and she craves for blood.But she doesn't just want any blood.She wants human blood.So Seymour sets out to find victams that deserve to be plant food(Mr.Musnik and Orin), so he can keep the sucess and finally get Audrey's love.Very good songs(My favorites Suddenly Seymour, Dentist!,Feed Me(Git It),and Mean Green Mother From Outer Space).If you like musicals and comedies,watch this zany and crazily wonderful movie.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Classic Horror Musical
This fun, upbeat musical of a dark comedy was mostly the way I remembered it, except for the profanity. If I could edit out those parts it would be perfect!

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - 3D Little Shop of Horrors (2-D & 3-D Included)
DO NOT buy this movie if you want to watch it in 3-D. one it doesnt come with glasses. which is ok for me as i own 2 different kind of glasses. the blue/red ones and the clear/grey ones. both those kinds DO NOT WORK! i guess you have to buy some 3-D special thing and special glasses to watch it in 3-D which i think runs like 100 dollars but not sure. so DO NOT BUY if you want to watch the 3-D version. what a joke they should post that you need to buy stuff to watch. glasses easy to get but to but special equiptment should be stated in the info as i would not have bought this knowing i could not watch in 3-D -_-;

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Not Essential Halloween Material, But Still...
Well, I can't quite place this movie on the same level as "Tommy" or "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." But that said, it is a pretty good musical. I can't call it essential for Halloween either. But that said, it is a nice musical. With some impressive vocals, the intro music sets the mood for story. (Scary, entertaining, and some laughs) We then meet Rick Moranis, Audrey, and their boss. They work at a Flower Shop that is clearly dying. Just when they are about to give up, Moranis pulls out a plant he bought. (We later learn that this plant came from outer space.) Suddenly, business takes off. (But the story is FAR from over.) Moranis is still sad because he loves Audrey, and she has an abusive boyfriend (Steve Martin). Just then, Moranis realizes that the plant can not only talk, but grant favors. (For a price that is.) The plant needs human blood to survive, and not surprisingly, Audrey's abusive boyfriend is the 1st target. What makes the plant so great is that it is clearly the bad guy, but he sings well, and he is so hilarious that we can not help but like him in a way. (Moranis: "I don't want to kill anyone." Plant: "I'll make it worth your while...I'm your genie. I'm your friend.") From here, Moranis finds himself getting more and more famous. (He went from unnoticed geek to the popular celebrity with more offers than he can handle.) But he starts to realize that his fame is not worth the price he will have to keep paying. (Continuing to kill people and feed blood to the plant.) As if Moranis needed a clincher to resolve his crisis of conscience, the plant tries to eat Audrey. Whatever Moranis's faults or shortcomings were up till now, he rises to the occasion when he realizes he has to take on the plant. One of his most magnanimous moments is when he realizes the plant wants to take over the world, and he confronts it. His courage is at its height when Moranis boldly says to the plant (probably knowing that the odds are against him): "Only one of us is getting out of here alive." The story is simple, but nice. The music is excellent; and the movie offers an interesting combination of horror, suspense, and hilarious comedy. While "Tommy" will probably always be my favorite musical, "Little Shop of Horrors" is nice too.
