Editor's Notes and Comments:

Product Description:
“Meet a young man named Odd . . . who helps the dead get even.'

From the infinite imagination of #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz comes the suspenseful graphic-novel debut of a natural-born hero with a supernatural twist.

Odd Thomas is a regular nineteen-year-old with an unusual gift: the ability to see the lingering spirits of the dead. To Odd, it’s not such a big deal. And most folks in sleepy Pico Mundo, California, are much more interested in the irresistible pancakes Odd whips up at the local diner. Still, communing with the dead can be useful. Because while some spirits only want a little company . . . others want justice.

When the sad specter of a very frightened boy finds its way to him, Odd vows to root out the evil suddenly infecting the sunny streets of Pico Mundo. But even with his exceptional ability–plus the local police and his pistol-packing girlfriend, Stormy, backing him–is Odd any match for a faceless stalker who’s always a step ahead . . . and determined to kill again?

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Great little book!
I really liked this book! Yes, I guess it's technically a "comic book," but it was still a good story!

Just because someone didn't notice that it said "graphic novel" shouldn't be a reason to give this a negative rating.

I enjoyed the story and the illustrator's idea of what Odd may look like.

I hope Mr. Koontz does more things like this! It was a great, short read and gave me my "Oddie Fix" for a while!

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - Don't be fooled
I'm a slightly fanatic fan of Deen Koontz's books, but this one was a great disappointment. I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the reviews and descriptions, just thought it was the subsequent in the Odd Thomas series, but I was grossly disappointed to find it is a comic book with black-and-white drawings and balloons for the dialogue. I found it very frustrating to read.

In addition, it's a pedestrian tale set in time before the very first two Odd Thomas books, with the thinnest possible plot line and none of the nuance we expect from Koontz. Unless you find it hard to read books with no pictures, skip this one and wait for the subsequent real Koontz to come out!

I love this series and I hope Koontz continues with it - I will Buy.

Good job, Mr. Koontz - thank you.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Surprise!
The book was fun, however I must have missed the part that stated it's in a comic book type layout. Still enjoyed it.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - graphic novel
This graphic novel is sequenced before Odd Brother. It was short story, but still great. I love that they made this a graphic novel.
