Product Description:
There's a Wocket in My Pocket is filled with bizarre creatures and rhymes: the nupboard in the cupboard, ghairs beneath the stairs, and the bofa on the sofa!
Amazon.com:
There's a Wocket in my Pocket is yet another prime catch in the vast sea of delectable Dr. Seuss books. It's difficult to find a Dr. Seuss book one wouldn't recommend highly, and this is no exception. Seuss's simple rhymes are consistently as amusing as they are useful; his books are bastions of creative nonsense that simultaneously encourage the joy of wordplay.
This edition of the 1974 treasure features vibrant full-colour illustrations, with the added bonus of a virtually indestructible board-book format. Kids can hunt for the zamp in the lamp, the jertain behind the curtain, even the nooth grush on the toothbrush, and no matter how exuberant their exploring gets, the book will remain intact for the subsequent reading. (Ages 0 to 4)

that seem so loud in the dark. Now we just try to decide which one of his characters is making the noise. My little one thinks the artwork is really neat.

We received this as a gift for our very first daughter, now 5, when she was a baby. It became her favorite at the time. Now she still loves it, because she can read it to her little sister, who's 2. They both get the greatest kick out of the silly rhymes. Plus, after all of the times I was asked to read it, I memorized the book (it's not that long), and could "read" it while cooking, etc., and my daughter flipping the pages. Plus, since it's a small board book, it's durable and portable, making it a must-have on any trips, long or short. We also have The Foot Book, ABCs, The Tooth Book, and Mr. Brown Can Moo (another favorite). All are worth the purchase.

My son loves this book. We actually keep it in our diaper bag and pull it out whenever we are waiting somewhere.

I purchased this book because I own several other Dr. Suess board books, including Mr. Brown can Moo, Hop on Pop, the Foot Book and The Shape of Me. I like all of these books, because they contain simple rhymes, colorful pictures and are great for helping a baby learn language.
I was a bit disappointed with There's a Wocket, because most of the words are made up. I don't mind a few made up words, but all the characters in this book are made up (there's a nooth grush on my toothbrush?)
I would recommend waiting until your child is old enough to no longer need board books, and purchase the full version. I'm sure older children who are already talking would love the silly made up creatures & rhymes.

I love Dr. Seuss's books! This is such a cute one! My 11-mo old loves it!
