First of all, this is not a book ABOUT screenwriting. It is just a mere tool for lazy people who doesn't want to lay their own charts, graphics, grids and other age-old screenwriting tools.
Because this is all that contains this book. Just a lot of "fill-in" forms in which you can spend days writing what you want without the minimum sense of if what you are doing is right.
The authors could have, at least, included bigger sections on the subjects and concepts included. You must know them beforehand or risk your purchase to be useless.
And what's worst for me, is the repetition of the fill-in forms. For God's sake, if they wanted to publish an overpriced book, they at least could have included the forms in pdf format inside a cd. It would be more environmentally friendly and plainly more useful. Why would I want so many copies of the same charts?
No wonder the book have 200 pages. Most of them are the same ones.
Buy only if you are lazy enough. But this won't teach you how to write a screenplay.

If your serious about the craft of screenwriting, you must pick up this book. It has a plethora of useful information on all sorts of screenwriting tasks. Basically, read some background info on screenwriting, fill out some worksheets and save as a useful tool for when you do write your screenplay. It's amazingly simple - and highly effective. It's my new favorite book!

Wow! This book rocks! Easy to use worksheets, some better than others, but all work towards the common goal of making your screenplay work well. More importantly it makes writing the screenplay fun. The Screenplay workbook by Robinson and Mungovan does not "show" you how to write a screenplay, it really sets the groundwork for a when you "do write" your screenplay. Truly a must have book for screenwriters. You get to know alot about your screenplay if you honestly fill out the worksheets. Go ahead a get this book, it's worth it!
